Crostini with gouda, apple and fig jam

Makes approximately 20 Crostini

Ingredients

Crostini:

  • ½ baguette, sliced into 4mm thick slices
  • Olive oil for brushing

Topping suggestions:

  • Sliced aged gouda or cheese of your choice
  • Thinly sliced ENVY™ apples
  • Drizzle of honey
  • Finely chopped pistachio nuts
  • Goats cheese and cream cheese spread
  • Thinly sliced Envy apples
  • Finely chopped chives
  • Shaved salami
  • Fig jam or other chutney
  • Sage leaves for garnish

Method

  1. Brush the baguette slices with olive oil on both sides then place onto an oven tray. Fan grill at 180C for a few minutes on each side, until golden and crispy. Place on a cooling rack to cool.
  2. Top each crostini with suggested toppings.
