Ingredients
- 2 ENVY™ apples, diced into large cubes
- 1 T lemon juice
- 3 T sugar
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup old fashioned oats
- ½ cup butter, diced small and kept cold
- ½ cup caramel
- ¼ tsp salt
- Zest of ½ an orange
- 1 T orange juice
Method
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Stir together 3 T sugar and ½ tsp ground cinnamon.
- Toss ENVY™ apples in lemon juice and then in cinnamon sugar mixture. Spread into a 9-inch pie dish.
- Stir together brown sugar, flour, and oats. Using your hands or a fork, cut in the butter until pea size crumbs form. Sprinkle evenly over top of apples.
- Bake for 40-45 min until mixture is bubbling and golden brown. Remove from oven and let cool for 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, in a small pot, whisk together caramel, salt, orange zest and juice until warm.
- Spoon apple oat crumble over top of a large scoop of vanilla ice cream and top with salted citrus caramel.
