Growing Envy™ Apples

Since it was introduced, Envy™ has emerged as the apple with everything: beautiful skin, sweet flavor, and a bright, tender flesh that remains white, even after being cut. But have you ever wondered how an Envy™ apple is grown? How Envy™’s extraordinary crunch, refreshingly sweet palette, and beautiful colors develop? If so, you’ve come to the right place! In honor of National Agriculture Day, we’d like to not only highlight the tremendous work ethic that defines our Envy™ growers, but the perfectly natural process that produces the one and only Envy™ apple.

Let’s start from the very beginning. Envy™ was born using natural plant-breeding methods, crossing Braeburn with Royal Gala apples, to take full advantage of New Zealand’s ideal growing conditions. From there, a handpicked team of talented growers, who simply fell in love after one bite, planted trees in prime growing regions, such as Washington state, along the northeast coast of New Zealand, and Chile where they bask in long, sundrenched days and crisp, cool evenings.

Day after day, across both hemispheres and over three continents, our dedicated growers take a special pride in their Envy™ apples. They share the same environmentally purposeful growing techniques that are the envy of our industry. The fancy phrase for it is “Integrated Fruit Production,” or IFP for short, but they’d prefer to call it “common sense.” Envy™ growers safeguard orchards from harmful substances, eliminate the use of genetically modified organisms (GMOs), and minimize pesticide use by disrupting the mating patterns of invasive species and establishing “friendly” bug populations that eat the “bad bugs.” It’s a difference you can taste in our apples, no matter what end of the earth they come from.

Grown with just the right amount of balance and patience, Envy™ apples are wonderfully healthy and taste great. With a crunch that invigorates the sense, and an aroma, flavor, and taste that offer a sublime moment of escape in the busiest, most demanding of days. It’s an apple grown for our busy, modern lives. A pure and pristine apple that’s a genuine work of orchard-growing genius. And one you can enjoy just about anywhere, brought to you from the world’s most caring growers.
